NOTE:

(a) The grantee shall before the 4th of March,

1933, expend a sum of not less than

$350,000 in rateable improvements on the

lots.

(e) Certain areas shall be used exclusively

for the following purposes:-

(i) Godowns or

(ii) Industries necessitating shipping

accommodation.

(f) Possession of the existing Shaukiwan Road

now crossing the two lots will not be given

until the receipt of a letter from the

Director of Public Works stating that the

area is at the disposal of the grantee (road diversion in progress).

(g) The lease will carry Marine rights over the

whole of the sea frontage subject to

detailed arrangements for road reservations.

Proviso for re-entry on failure of grantee

to fulfil the conditions of the agreement.

As a preliminary to this agreement Mr. Kwik will

surrender all his present rights and claims in the Lots and will release, indemnify and absolutely discharge the Governor and Government of Hong Kong from all claims for loss or damage (if any) which he

may have against the said Government.
